Savings you can accomplish without having to break out in a sweat
Saving Money is not only for the frugalistas amongst us. We all have different needs, circumstances and timelines, yet whatever you may have in your pocket looks better on your bottom line than owing it to a Credit Card company. There are 3 reasons to use your credit card:
1. The Bargain Reason: You absolutely need it and here it is at a price you will never see again.
2.The Emergency Reason: Car accident, blown tire, medical emergency; any of those unforeseen events that make take your cash position temporarily over the top.
3. The Safety Reason: It is not advisable to travel with a lot of cash and ATM’s are not always immediately available.
Nothing wrong with using Credit to purchase something for which you are in dire need and/or something that is beyond your current means but a welcome necessity. Yet every month, at least a minimum payment has to be made towards that purchase on Credit.
Now, if you can apply some very simple savings techniques which can allow you to put aside the money to pay for that credit facility, you are on the right track to staying in good standing. Let the savings methods you can implement today, without altering your lifestyle drastically, pay for your monthly credit payments.
Whether you already have made your money and are enjoying its comforts or you are just trying to get a better handle on your budget, Parago Exports has compiled proven savings methods from around the world to suit any wallet.
We tell you about creative savings that were invented or developed in countries where energy has been expensive for a long time already. People have come up with effective savings solutions that will help you lower your energy and water bills substantially.
Simple savings on household budgets, insurance premiums, tax savings tips, travel savings, savings while being environmentally responsible or just being aware that with most of our actions in life there is a price to pay.
Here is an Awkward but True Story:
I once met a man who bought himself new clothes third or fourth day. Cheap, like a t-shirt and linen pants; he only wore them for 2 or 3 days. On Saturday mornings he went to a garage sale, spent at most $2 on a shirt, pants and a pair of flip flops. His weekly clothing cost was about $5.
His reasoning for this behavior was as follows: If I keep them and wash them I either need at least a washer and possibly dryer or I need to visit a laundromat every once in a while. I don’t want to rent or own a home which comes with insurance premiums, property taxes, utilities, maintenance and a host of other expenses, on top of $800-$1,000 for a washer and dryer, detergent and water. On the flip side, if I take them to a laundromat, I need a backpack to keep them in, probably separated from other stuff, and carry them around.
He told me his total cash outlay per day (food, lodging and clothing) was $37 as he traveled across North America with an ATM card, a toothbrush and a razorblade in his pocket. He was ex-military and a fan of the main character in Lee Child’s books. His highest monthly expense had been $1,161.08
Another story about Saving introduces the British grandmother who figured out that traveling year round first class on the Queen Mary was less expensive for her than room and board in an average government run retirement home. A suite, as many meals as she could handle, laundry service, medical emergency on board and year round socializing while visiting the most exotic spots on the planet.
Saving is not boring. Saving is exciting, ingenious and very satisfying, much more so than shopping spree upon shopping spree for “stuff” that ends up at a garage sale with the original price tag still on it.
